PURPOSE:To obtain a printing apparatus excellent in usability, by automatically revolving a rear part housing with respect to a front part housing in use to locate the same at a printing position. CONSTITUTION:With the revolution of a pinion 32 to the direction opposite to an arrow C by a drive motor 30, a first spur gear 26 is revolved to the direction opposite to an arrow D and a transmission gear 16 revolves to the direction of an arrow F along with a worm gear 15 through an intermediate spur gear 33 and a pinion 37. Because the worm gear 15 is meshed with the gear 10 of a front support plate 8, a rear part housing 3 is downwardly revolved around a platen shaft 12 from a stop position up to a printing position where a front part housing 2 comes to a falling oblique state with respect to the side of an operator. By this method, the rear part housing 3 is automatically revolved to a printing position from a stop position with respect to the front part housing 2 and revolving operation becomes easy and usability is improved. |
