PURPOSE:To obtain preferable writing and sealing properties on a portion on which an acceptance layer is not formed on a sheet surface by forming partly the acceptance layer on a base. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 1 to be thermally transferred is formed by superposing a colorant layer of the sheet and the sheet 1 to contact with an acceptance layer 3 of the sheet 1, heating in response to image information by a thermal head from the support side of the sheet, then separating the support to transfer sublimed dye in the colorant layer to the layer 3 of the sheet 1, thereby transfer recording the image on the sheet 1. The layer 3 receives dye transferred from the sheet at thermal transferring time to partly form a character or an image on the necessary base 2 to be transferred. Since the acceptance layer is not partly fored on the base, excellent writing, sealing and printing properties can be obtained for writing or sealing on the portion in which the acceptance layer is not formed. |
