PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having an excellent adhesion, which comprises a novolak phenolic resin, a hexamethylenetetramine-based hardening agent, a reinforcing agent comprising a finely divided silica and an org. silane- based surface treating agent. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. novolak phenolic resin having a m.p. of about 100 deg.C and an MW of hundreds to thousands is blended with 5-20pts.wt. hexamethylenetetramine-based hardening agent, 5-50pts.wt. reinforcing agent comprising a finely divided silica having a particle size of 1-100mum and 0.5-5 pts.wt. org. silane-based surface treating agent (e.g.: aminosilane). The blend is dissolved or dispersed in an org. solvent (e.g.: is applied on a metal, dried at a temp. of 50-60 deg.C, and heated to 120-220 deg.C for 5-30min for baking. The metal is bonded to an NBR unvulcanized compd. and heated at 160-200 deg.C for pressure vulcanization, thereby joining the metal to the NBR through the medium of the title adhesive compsn. |
