METHOD FOR CHEMICALLY PLATING CERAMIC MATERIAL WITH NICKEL

PURPOSE:To form a uniform nickel film having superior adhesion on a ceramic material by chemical plating by activating the ceramic material with a bath contg. prescribed percentages of SnCl2 and PdCl2 before chemical plating. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic material is degreased with an alkaline degreasing agent and sensitized. The pretreated ceramic material is activated with a bath contg. 4-50g/l SnCl2, 0.05-1g/l PdCl2 and 100-300ml/l 35% hydrochloric acid. The activated ceramic material is after-activated and chemically plated with nickel.
