PURPOSE:To make it possible to stably obtain high quality printing, by specifying the flow path resistance R of the ink guide channel connecting an ink tank occluding ink and a wire guide part for guiding a wire in the vicinity of an ink adhering end surface. CONSTITUTION:The flow path resistance R of the ink guide channel connecting the porous material occluding ink in the ink tank 2 within a head and a wire guide 13 for guiding a wire 11 in the vicinity of the leading end surface of the wire is set to R<=10<7>dyne. sec/cm<5>. The inner diameter of each ink occluding pore of the ink tank 2 is made sufficiently small so as not to flow out ink under its own wt. even if the tank is handled alone in any posture and necessarily made sufficiently large so as to supply a necessary amount corresponding to the use of ink and 100mum<=a<=600mum is set. The ink guide channel 12b must be made sufficiently low in its flow path resistance so as to be capable of supplying a sufficient amount of ink corresponding to the above mentioned consumption amount by the minute pressure difference in ink due to the difference of capillary force generated by the ink liquid levels formed in the main ink tank 2 and in the vicinity of the leading end surface of the wire in the wire guide 13 and an upper limit is present in R. From this viewpoint, the valve of R is prescribed. |
