PURPOSE:To obtain a fluorescent screen having uniform coating or film by inserting a process for humidifying the inner face of glass panel between the process for cleaning the inner face of glass panel and the process for coating photosensitive resin. CONSTITUTION:When forming a block matrix film, a process for humidifying the inner face of glass panel is placed between the process for cleaning the glass panel and the process for coating photosensitive resin. Under the conditions of room temperature of 25 deg.C, relative humidity in the room of 65-70%, panel temperature of 32 deg.C and the photosensitive resin temperature of 23 deg.C, the humid ity on the inner face of panel is conditioned for 15-25sec. immediately before coating of photosensitive resin with the rate of 0.6-5.0cc/min. Consequently, high quality and uniform black matrix can be obtained.
