PURPOSE:To sense each sectional temperature of a magnet winding during its use by interposing a small-gage wire for sensing temperatures in the gap between the magnet windings. CONSTITUTION:Small-gage wires 2 for sensing temperatures are interposed in the gap between magnet windings 1 along the magnet windings. Both ends of these small-gage wires 2 are extracted externally and are connected to a resistance thermometer 5 through a changeover switch 4. An alarming unit 6 warns that the temperature exceeds an allowable value. Thus, the temperatures at the different positions of the winding cross-section are measured separately. If the magnet windings 1 with an outside diameter of 0.76mm are used, triangular gaps in which windings with an outside diameter of 0.11mm are produced between the windings even for zigzag windings with highest winding density. Since the small-gage wires 2 are interposed between this gap, the small-gage wires 2 can be interposed without increasing the volume of the entire windings.
