PURPOSE:To aim at miniaturization in a booster, by using an electric motor as a driving source for the booster, while using a ball screw as its driving force transmission device. CONSTITUTION:An electric motor 1 is used for a brake booster (servo unit). In an inner circumferential part of a stator, there is provided with a rotor being supported by a bearing 14. A ball screw case 4 to rotate solidly together with the rotor 3, namely, a nut part of a ball screw is fitted in an inner circumferential part of the rotor 3. And, a piston 5 as a bolt part of the ball screw is screwed in an inner circumferential part of the ball screw case 4. Therefore, turning motion in the motor 1 is converted into reciprocating motion in an axial direction of the piston 5 by the ball screw.
