PURPOSE:To detect the damage of turbine parts with high sensitivity, by irradiating the damage region of turbine parts with ultrasonic waves from different directions. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic probe 1 consists of a vibrator 4 and a vibrator 5 applied to the groove shoulder 2 of a turbine blade and the creep damage region 2 of the groove shoulder 2 and the vibrator 5 is rotated around a shaft 7 at a desired angle while the vibrators 4, 5 perform the transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves between two flaw detectors 8, 9. A signal processing circuit 10 consists of a level correction circuit 11, an averaging circuit 13, a level adjusting circuit 14, a correlation circuit 15 and a frequency analysis circuit 16 to detect the damage degree of the region 3. |
