The object of the invention consists in that the shuttlecock can be easily picked up from the ground by means of a badminton racket. The object is achieved according to the invention in that the badminton racket, at its head-side end, and the shuttlecock, behind its head, each possess at least one ferromagnetic part, one of which is designed as a permanent magnet. Depending on the embodiment type, the counterpart, consisting of, for example, thin sheet iron, is located on the shuttlecock or at the head-side end of the badminton racket. The frame of an iron badminton racket can also be used as the counterpart. The ferromagnetic part (1) is located in a pick-up part (2) which is preferably produced from injection-moulded plastic. <IMAGE>
