A central lubricating device (1) has interchangeable pistons (5) for adjusting the metering volumes. For control connection of the individual cylinder chambers of the piston tracks (4) housing ducts (28 to 31) lying exclusively at right angles to an opening surface (3) are provided in the form of blind holes, which in the area of this opening surface (3) are functionally connected to one another by duct slots (38 to 41) lying parallel to it. As a result, the housing (2) of the device (1) does not have to have oblique holes of any kind and the housing ducts (28 to 31) pass through the cylinder tracks (4) at right angles. <IMAGE>
