PURPOSE:To enhance cooling efficiency while attaining to conserve energy, in a cooling method of a car body utilizing the open air as cooling air, by together using the spraying of water. CONSTITUTION:A spray nozzle 12 for spraying water is positioned at the center of the front opening surface of each air blow-off port 6 and attached so as to spray water to the flow direction of cooling air blown off from blow-off ports 6 to blow off sprayed water while mixing with cooling air. The spray nozzle 12 is controlled according to the spray pattern determined by a spray control apparatus 13 and a control board 14 to perform the spraying of water. That is, a high temp. article to be cooled after baking, painting and drying is fed in a cooling chamber 1 for a definite time and air-cooling and water spray cooling are alternately repeated. Whereupon, cooling good in efficiency is performed by a reduced amount of air without leaving water droplet marks caused by water spraying.
