PURPOSE:To obtain ventilating ducts enhancing space efficiency by a structure wherein horizontal ducts are arranged between the braces of beams and each downspout is formed by surrounding the outer periphery of a steel column with plate materials and a delivery port is made by notching off the lower end of the plate material. CONSTITUTION:The air, which is blown-off from a delivery port 11 by being delivered from an air supply fan and flowed through a horizontal duct 6 arranged in the braces of a beam 3 and through a duct 7, develops an updraft from a floor 1 surface so as to blow up mist floating in the factory and the mist ascended to the ceiling is exhausted outdoors by means of an exhaust fan 15. Because a steel column is utilized as a duct, no extra space for duct is necessary and consequently no trouble is developed in the change of lay-out of machine, resulting in the utilization of space. In addition, because the horizontal duct is installed between the braces of the beam, no trouble is developed in the arrangement of machines, cranes and the like.
