MANUFACTURE OF FLAT TYPE ORGANIC ELECTROLYTE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To decrease battery assembly time and stabilize battery performance by impregnating part of required electrolyte volume in a separator by pouring it on a semi-assembled negative electrode, and impregnating the residual part of required electrolyte volume in a positive mix. CONSTITUTION:A negative active material 2 is press-fitted inside a sealing plate 1 and a separator 4 is placed on the negative active material 2 to form a semi- assembled negative electrode, and electrolyte is poured on the separator to impregnate it into the separator. A positive mix pellet 3 is placed on the separator, and electrolyte is poured on the positive mix pellet to absorb it in the mix. The total electrolyte volume is controlled to a specified volume. A positive case 5 is covered on the negative electrode and the opening of the positive case is bent inward to seal a battery. Assembling time of the battery is decreased and overflow of electrolyte during sealing operation is prevented to provide stabilized performance.
