PURPOSE:To display exactly a display part even if there is a closed loop on the display part by forming the projecting display part on the display surface of a light transmittable plastic base body and plating a metal to the entire part of the base body then removing the metallic layer on the display part. CONSTITUTION:The shape of a display part (d) to be displayed is preliminarily formed as a projecting part 1A on the top surface 1a a light transmittable plastic base body 1. A plating mask 3 is deposited and formed on the surface 1b on the rear of the top surface 1a in order to obtain a lighting part. A plating layer 4 is formed over the entire surface of such base body 1 and thereafter the plating layer 4 on the part 1A is removed to expose the surface in the part 1A of the body 1 and at the same time the plating mask 3 on the surface 1b on the rear of the surface 1a is removed as well to form a lighting part (e). If a light source 5 is disposed in such body 1 and is operated to emit light, the light is made incident through the part (e) on the surface 1a and is emitted from the projecting display part (d) on the display part (a). |
