PURPOSE:To enhance the safety of a printer by exactly preventing the occur rence of maloperation when setting or removing a paper supplier by providing a means to interrupt the printing action of a printer even when a continuous paper supplier is set until the condition that an automatic paper slip supplier is covered as mounted. CONSTITUTION:When opening a front cover 3A to exchange papers or ribbons or to remove out F/T5 by operator, the pressure under which the first switch 7, the second switch 8, and the third switch 9 are pressed by the projections 13 of the front cover 3A or the projection of a blind cover and the side plates of F/T5 is released. Thereby, all of the switches 7 and 9 is turned off to stop the printing action of the printer. Even when any one of the switches is touched by operator by mistake, the printing operation of the printer can be avoided because the other switches are turned off. |
