<p>PURPOSE:To enhance yield and reliability by reducing the number of control wirings of an IC part and dispensing with multi-layered wirings, by controlling a heat generating part not only from the IC part but also from a common electrode side. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording head having a heat generating part 2 and an integrated circuit part for driving said heat generating part 2, the heat generating part 2 is formed to the opposed region of signal electrode wiring connected to the integrated circuit part and the common electrode opposed to said wiring so as to be subjected to drive control even from the side of the common electrode. Because the heat generating part 2 is subjected to drive control by an IC chip 4 and also receives block control even from the side of the common electrode 9, ENB, STB and, further, VDD among the control wirings of the IC chip 4 are dispensed with, and the number of control wirings 12' are reduced corresponding to the reduction in the number of control wirings while multi-layered wirings become unnecessary. As a result, the yield from a production aspect is enhanced and reliability of wiring connection is also enhanced. Further, a STB supply line becomes unnecessary in the side of the common electrode 9.</p> |
