PURPOSE:To obtain the titled guide which has a flexibility and is capable of transmitting an infra-red ray such as a carbon dioxide laser ray with a low loss, and is suitable to a medical and a weld uses by providing an oxide glass layer having <=1 refractive index on an outer circumference of a cylindrical dielectric layer having >=1 refractive index. CONSTITUTION:The dielectric layer 1 having the low loss is formed by adhering the single crystal or the polycrystal substances having >=1 refractive index such as Zn, Se, Ge, Kcl, KRs-5 or Ge-Se type glass on the outer citcumference of the base metal such as the Al pipe capable of etching by a sputtering method. The layer 2 having <=1 refractive index at 10.6mu wavelength and composing of the oxide glass layer having <=1 refractive index such as SiO2 and GeO2 added an alkaline oxide such as K2O, is formed on the layer 1. And then, the base metal such as Al is removed by etching to form the hollow wave-guide composed of the hollow range 3, the dielectric layer 1 having the low loss and the oxide glass layer, and capable of transmitting the infra-red ray such as the carbon dioxide laser ray with the low transmitting loss. |
