PURPOSE:To print a pattern on Japanese crackers efficiently without changing printing rolls nor die even in either one of hard roasting and soft roasting, etc. by means of an embossing die box provided between a roasting oven and a group of coloring and roasting ovens. CONSTITUTION:A patterned embossing die box (A) for patterning a dough for Japanese crackers is provided in a gap (D) between a roasting oven (II) for nipping and extending the dough for the Japanese crackers and a group of coloring and roasting ovens (III). A roasting die 34 in the form of an arc opposite to a supporting roll 40 of an endless wire net 7 is provided, and brought into pressure contact with the dough for the Japanese crackers by a rotating cam 23, etc. according to the advancing positions of the Japanese crackers on the wire net 7 to print the pattern thereon.
