PURPOSE:To adjust the azimuth direction and tilt of a head independently by supporting the substrate of the head at two points pivotally and allowing it to rotate around the axis connecting the two points together, adjusting the height at one of two pivot points, and utilizing said rotation and adjustment of the height at the pivot point. CONSTITUTION:A fitting member 14 utilizes a fine adjustment of an adjusting screw 22 to make a tilt adjustment of the magnetic head 16 in the track direction of a magnetic disk 1 around a positioning conic pin 21 as a pivot point. Further, an adjusting screw 16 fitted in the fitting member 14 is adjusted finely to adjust the head at right angles to a track 1 around the positioning pin 15 of the fitting member 14 as a pivot point. Further, the azimuth adjusting screw 18 of a bimorph support member 12 is adjusted finely to make an azimuth-directional fine adjustment as shown by an arrow A about positioning holes 12e and 12f of the support member 12 that a positioning conic pin 15 and a conic screw 16 for adjustment engage as pivot points. Thus, the azimuth adjustment and tilt adjustment are made independently. |
