<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a reader printer by using an optical fiber for the supply of a laser beam to a form in printing operation and the transmission of the reflected light of the laser beam supplied to a recording medium in reading operation, and further providing a light separation part for guiding the reflected light out. CONSTITUTION:A platen 1 on which a form 2 is mounted and a head 3 which makes a read as well as printing to the form 2 are provided, and an ink ribbon 4 is arranged between the platen 1 and head 3 along print positions of the form 2; and this ink ribbon 4 is heated by laser light during printing operation to perform plotting on the form 2 by thermal transfer. The ink ribbon 4 is detached during reading operation to irradiate the form 2 with the laser light from the head 3 directly. The output light of a laser oscillation part 6 is supplied directly onto the form 2 through an optical fiber 7 and the head 3, and the reflected light corresponding to a picture on the form 2 is guided to the light separation part through the optical fiber 7 again; and the reflected light is guided to a sensor part 8 by a beam splitter 5A to perform reading operation there.</p> |
