PURPOSE:To uniformize the temp. distribution in a heat generator and to enhance the durability of a thermal head, by arranging at least a pair of conductors opposed to the direction of a current flow path in the heat generator while reducing the distance between the conductors in the circumferential part of said heat generator as compared with the central part thereof. CONSTITUTION:A pair of conductors 15, 16 each formed of the same conductive material as each of electrodes 1, 14 are provided to the almost central part in a heat generator 12 provided on an insulating plate 11 to form a thermal head. A pair of the aforementioned conductors 15, 16 are provided to the heat generator 2 over the total width thereof so as to be opposed to the flow path direction of the current in the heat generator flowing toward a common electrode 14 from the independent electrode 13. In this case, a pair of the aforementioned conductors 15, 16 are provided in a curved bent form so as to reduce each distance L2 between the circumferential parts in both sides of the heat generator 2 as compared with the distance L1 in the central part thereof. This thermal head is free from the irregularity of heat generation and can perform good quality printing. |
