ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC RECEPTOR HAVING EXCELLENT CLEANING CHARACTERISTIC

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor having an improved cleaning characteristic and excellent durability by sprinkling pulverized powder of a polyvinylidene fluoride resin on the surface of a photosensitive layer consisting essentially of a polyvinyl carbazole (PVK) resin. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized powder of a polyvinylidene fluoride resin having <=5mu grain size is stuck at 0.00001-0.01g/cm<2> on the surface of a photosensitive layer wherein an electric charge generating pigment and 11-40pts.wt. polyolefinic wax based on 100pts.wt. the PVK resin are dispersed in an electric charge transfer medium consisting essentially of the PVK resin. The sticking of such powder is accomplished by spraying the pulverized powder dispersed in isopropyl alcohol on the photosensitive layer and drying the same. The olefinic wax which is added in the photosensitive layer and is exposed on the surface makes the pulverized powder of the PVK resin easily stickable. The surface of the photosensitive layer is thus effectively prevented from being flawed by a cleaning blade and the toner is thoroughly removed, whereby a sharp image is obtd. and the photoreceptor is made longer in life.
