The invention relates to a pharmaceutical product for the treatment of the airways, which is intended to be used, in particular, as antitussive and/or antiasthmatic. The invention furthermore relates to a process for the production of a product of this type. The pharmaceutical product according to the invention is characterised in that it is composed of a suspension of lecithin and/or cholesterol lipid micelles in aqueous phase. The process comprises the following steps: a) lecithin and cholesterol are dissolved, in the amount by weight which is predetermined by the required composition, in chloroform, b) the resulting lipid solution is covered with water (triple- distilled water) or with physiologically saline solution and subsequently mixed continuously until converted into a liquid foam, c) which is then treated with ultrasound until the chloroform has completely evaporated.
