<p>Method and device for making a cylindrical packaging sheath (13) open at one end and closed at the other end, particularly for hygienic pads, comprised of a deformable and break-resistant packaging material. A portion (34) of the packaging material is sucked by a winding core (1) provided with a suction opening (7) and is wound about the winding core (1) by rotating the latter. The overlapping edges (35, 36) are bound together to form the packaging sheath (13) of which the end outside the core is closed, whereafter the sheath (13) is withdrawn from the core. The method is characterized in that the end outside the core is seized and closed during the rotation of the winding core (1) by twisting. The method allows to make the packaging sheath with a closure having a constant configuration, independently of the shape of the entrance end of the pad.</p> |
