PURPOSE:To prevent a turbine from exceeding its durable temperature, by setting a cooling water injection nozzle between a blast furnace and the furnace top turbine and injecting cooling water into blast furnace gas when temperature of the blast furnace gas is increased to at least setting temperature of a temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION:A cooling water injection nozzle 7 is connected to a cooling water pipe 9 through a valve 8, and the valve 8 is opened and closed by a signal from a temperature sensor 10. When the temperature of blast furnace exhaust gas is increased to at least setting temperature, the opening signal is transmitted to the valve 8. Then cooling water is injected from the nozzle 7, and blast furnance exhaust gas immediately before being introduced to a turbine 4 is cooled. The sensor 10, for early detection of a blast furnace blow, is preferably provided in the vioinity of a blast furnace, however, the sensor, if worn by dust, may be provided after a dust catcher. In this way, the turbine can be protected from abnomal high temperature of the blast furnace exhaust gas. |
