The invention relates to a tractor-mounted appliance for groundworking, especially for seedbed preparation, with a supporting frame which is oriented transversely to the direction of travel of the tractor and which carries positively driven working implements working the ground surface. Groundworking appliances driven from a power take-off shaft and having at least one positively driven tine bar oscillating to and fro have become known. It has been shown that ground unevenness occurring during the groundworking cannot be filled up with earth sufficiently and that stones can become jammed between the tines. The object on which the invention is based is to provide a groundworking appliance which distributes the clods of earth effectively, compensates ground unevenness, is insensitive to obstructions, such as, for example, stones, in the ground and at the same time eliminates travelling tracks of a tractor. This object has been achieved, according to the invention, in that the working implement is a worm shaft oriented transversely to the direction of travel of the tractor and parallel to the ground surface and having radially projecting worm wings.
