<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled ink prevented from drying and capable of smooth resumptive printing after a printer has been stopped for a long time, by a method wherein a water-sol. dye, a water-sol. org. solvent, water, a water-sol. high MW compd., and a urea derivative are blended to yield ink having particular physical values. CONSTITUTION:About 0.5-20wt% water-sol. dye (pH >=7, sol. in water; e.g., direct dye, food coloring matter), about 5-40wt% water-sol. org. solvent (e.g., ethylene glycol), about 40-80wt% water, certain amts. of water-sol. high MW compd. (e.g., methylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose), and about 20wt% or lower urea (derivative) are blended in such a manner that the blending of ingredients is adjusted to give the ink having the following physical values: viscosity (at 25 deg.C) 3-12cP; surface tension >=32dyne/cm; and pH 7-10.</p> |
