PURPOSE:To obtain a mobile communication system which can facilitate an easy countermeasure to a dead zone, by providing a channel designating function for a mobile station to a repeater station that is set between a fixed radio base station and the moble station. CONSTITUTION:A mobile station 12 existing in a high field region exchanges first the information for setting of channels with a fixed radio station 1 by means of control channels fOD (down) and fOU (up). Based on the information, channels f1D and f1U, for example, are selected among many channels to perform a call. If the station 13 exists in a weak field region, it is impossible to receive the channel fOD from the station 1. Thus the station 13 switches automatically the channel to prescribed control channels FOD and FOU for weak field region to perform communication to a repeater station 3 for relief of dead zone in a weak filed region. The station 3 puts the control channel information given from the station 1 on the channels FOD and FOU and then converts a channel designating signal to use channels F2D and F2U for calling purpose. |
