<p>In the method for the decontamination of solid bodies having toxic, particularly radioactive substances, bound or adhering at the surface, the bodies (1) are exposed to a continuous light discharge of a duration comprised between 30 seconds and 10 hours or to the gas products from said discharge, in a closed chamber (2) wherein a depression and an inert and/or reactive gas atmosphere conditions are prevailing. The reactive gas used should be able to react by combination with the toxic substances which, in the prevailing conditions, are volatile toxic substances.</p> |
