PURPOSE:To allow even a man of weak power to easily start an engine, by previously setting a pressure reducing device at starting of the engine and automaticallly releasing said pressure reducing device when a crankshaft increases its rotary speed required for starting of the engiene. CONSTITUTION:At starting of an engine, an operating knob 31a is previously rotated to a prescribed direction to rotate a rod 31 to a prescribed amount. Then a semi-circular cam part of the rod 31 is adapted to a rocking end part 21b of a rocker arm 21, and the arm 21 is slightly rocked to move an intake valve 13 downward to a prescribed amount of opening. At this time, a ratchet gear 33 and cam plate 34 are also rotated integrally with the rod 31 to depress one end 37b of a connecting arm 37 downward. In this way, a plunger 32 is depressed, simultaneously a pawl 35 is engaged to a tooth part 33a of the ratchet gear 33 to set a starting pressure reducing device 30 to an operating condition. Under this condition, cranking operation is performed, and the pressure reducing device 30 can be released by upward motion of the one end 37b of the arm at perfect explosion of the engine. |
