PURPOSE:To reduce the dimensions as well as to improve the responsive characteristics of an electro-magnetic type rotary slide valve for controlling intake and discharge flow in, for example, an internal combustion engine, by enabling a motor and a valve to operate together as an unit in the direction of fluid flow. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet 11 is attracted to (or repulsed from) its counterpart pole, and therefore exerts force in the rectilinear direction of left or right, while the upper circular part of a valve lement 9 integrally incorporated with the permanent magnet 11 executes circular mortion about a pin 10 serving as a fulcrum. That is: the sliding and rotating movement with respect to a seat portion of a discharge port 1a is carried out, overcoming a spring 12. With this arrangement, the discharge pore 1a is opened to the degree corresponding to this rotation amount and is therefore communicated with an intake port 2a. |
