PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to shorten an operation time by setting a logical level by the transition of superconductive Josephson junction between stable points with a prescribed phase difference. CONSTITUTION:A series-connection circuit of unit operation elements in the figure is operated in a voltage mode. In this case, once a signal with, e.g., a logical level ''1'' propagates through the active transmission line of this constitution, respective unit operation elements 1, 2-N all enter voltage stages to be latched, so the unit operation elements 1-N should be reset by cutting off a power current for every time. On the other, each couple of Josephson junction elements of the unit operation element on the active transmission line of this constitution is operated in a phase mode. In this case, even when the signal with, e.g., the logical level ''1'' propagates, the Josephson junction element of each unit operation element has transition from a reference phase stable point to an adjacent phase stable point at distance alpha , so the need for resetting by cutting off the power current is eliminated. |
