<p>The system for testing tubing, esp. in the region of tube socket ends, is more accurate, convenient and rapid in application than conventional methods and devices and can be applied whilst measurements, e.g. of pipe dimensions, are made simultaneously. The arrangement is simply constructed and efficient in operation. A cylinder (14), narrower than the tested tube (12), has annular flanges (20,22) at both ends (16,18) carrying sealing rings (24,26) acting on the inner tube walls (28). When the cylinder is inserted in the tube. The sealing rings are inflated via a pipe (30,32) to press against the tube wall (28) and form a test chamber (34) between them. A test medium is input via a filler tube (36) and displaced air leaves via a ventilator tube (38). The entire cross-section of tested tube is not blocked as with conventional aoproaches.</p> |
