<p>The process is intended for increasing the throughput of a transfer conveyor. The conveyor moves in steps and carries identical workpieces particularly in ceramics, to successive work stations for operations of pre-determined equal duration. The step cycles are of constant duration, whilst the velocity of transport during each cycle varies in a pre-determined repetitive sequence. Each work station simultaneously operates on a pre-determined number of pieces, the cycle time being correspondingly reduced whilst the pieces, which are at a station for operations, are kept out of contact with the conveyor.</p> |
