<p>A method of and apparatus for positioning and supporting a large industrial machine or other object on its foundation. The method comprises placing hydraulic jacks of this invention between the machine and the foundation, pressurizing the jacks to move the object relative to the foundation to a selected position, maintaining the liquid in the jacks under pressure so as to support the machine in its selected position, and pouring a hardenable grouting mixture around the jacks to fix them in their selected positions.</p> |
