PURPOSE:To achieve the improvement in practicability by performing focus detection through the use of one photoelectric device. CONSTITUTION:The device is desposed on the fixed focal plane of an imaging lens 1 or its conjugate face. Luminous flux from a lens 1 is scanned in the specified direction and the image S by the lens 1 is moved in the direction nearly perpendicular to the optical axis thereof. At the same time, the signal corresponding to the scanning direction of the luminous flux is generated 3, the image S is reimaged 5 and the moving direction of the image S is photoelectrically detected 6. Focus, front focus and rear focus are discriminated 7 from the moving direction of the image S by the lens 5 corresponding to the scanning direction of the luminous flux based on the output of the devices 3 and 6. |
