The present invention relates to an apparatus to remove tags from a cell, comprising: a base unit (1200) onto which a cell is mounted; separation units separating tags by applying a force to the same in a vertical direction; pusher units (400) fixating a part of the cell adjacent to the tags in a direction opposite to a separation unit when the same applies a force to the tag; and a control unit controlling an operation of the base unit (1200), the separation unit (300), and the pusher unit (400). The base unit (200) comprises: a body (1210) having a square frame shape; a seating member (1260) disposed in an empty space of a central portion of the body (1210), onto which the cell (W) is mounted; and a transfer member moving the seating member (1260) horizontally in a central portion of the body (1210). Disclosed are the apparatus to remove tags from a cell designed in such a manner which the separation units and the pusher units are installed respectively on four sides of a body (1210), and the separation unit fixated in a method which the same performs a vertical movement without a horizontal movement with respect to the base unit, and the method to remove tags from the cell using the same.
