PURPOSE:To raise the peak of high threshold frequency and form a speaker of a wide frequency range with a simple constitution by providing a reinforcing ring to the connection portion of bobbin and diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing ring 9 is coupled near the root 8 on the inner side of a bobbin 7 in a speaker consisting of a diaphragm 5, diaphragm edge 6 and bobbin 7. In the results of calculations by the finite element method of the case when the reinforcing ring 9 is provided in this way, A, B, C show the sound pressure characteristics of total, diaphragm 5 and edge 6 respectively and D shows the peak of high threshold frequency. In this case, the peak D of the high threshold frequency is produced in the neighborhoo of 40K Hz, which is higher by about 50% than that of the case when no reinforcing ring is provided. Hence, the provision of the reinforcing ring 9 in this way enables the speaker of a wider frequency range to be formed. |
