<p>The two- or multi-stage amplifier, for ac signals (e.g. 1-1000 MHz) in shared aerial systems), has a voltage divider in each of its stages. Each voltage divider consists of an emitter resistor (26) and a resistor (28, 15) connecting the stage emitter to its base. The first resistor (26) in the divider of the last stage (21) is ohmic whilst the first resistor in the preceding stage (13), or stages is formed by the equivalent resistance of the last stage, or subsequent stages.</p> |
