1299898 Wire cutting brushes V S SALUKVADZE 9 Dec 1969 59970/69 Heading A4K The inner ends of the wire bristles 3 of a rotary wire cylindrical brush used as a cutting tool are laterally compressed so that the ratio of the sum of the areas of the end faces of the free ends of the bristles to the whole area of the working surface of the tool is between 0À1 and 0À93. Compression of the bristles is effected by a pair of rings 4 welded or cemented to the bristles. Additional compression may be effected by altering the distance between the rings of a further pair of rings 5 integral with the casing in which the bristles are received.
