Fixing cross reinforcement to panel - using filling and connecting pieces placed in panel incisions

Cross reinforcement is fixed to the edge of a panel, e.G. a polymethyl methacrylate door or wall panel, by (a) making incisios with reduced inlet openings in te edges of the panel; making holes in the wall of the hollow reinforcement, the holes being situated directly n front of the incisions in the panel; (C) placing a filler piece, esp. a hollow piece of pressed fibres or nylon, in each incision to extend over a part of its depth; and (d) placing a connecting piece e.g. a split pin, between the cross wall of the reinforcement and the filler piece.
