The tipper surface is supported about a main tipping axis in special bearing shells which limit the tipping angle to the required amount. The ends of the axis are secured by removable bolts. Each side of the axis has the tipper sitting on special yokes which also allow tipping to either side with the bolts removed on the one side. The front end of the tipper sits on the chassis on open claws which also allow tipping to either side. The whole tipping mounting is simple with few moving parts and with no ball and socket bearings or universal joints required.
