An ionic air purifier comprising: a positive ion (cation) generator; a negative ion (anion) generator; and a control means for alternately powering the generators. Preferably, the ion generators are alternately pulsed by the control means for three seconds each. This dual ion generating device is incorporated into a conventional household appliance, such as a lamp. The air ioniser preferably has a distinct visual indicator, such as an LED, associated with each ion generator in order to indicate the operation of each. |
