PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricant compsn. which does not form a hardly sol. salt with a polyvalent metallic ion or a polyvalent anion in diluting water and has a good lubricity by using a specific anionic surfactant and a specific amphoteric surfactant as the essential components. CONSTITUTION:A lubricant compsn. contains an anionic surfactant of the formula: R<1>O(CH2CH2O)nSO3M (wherein R<1> is an 8-20C linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group; n is 0-7; and M is an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, ammounium, or amine) and an amphoteric surfactant of the formula: R<2>N<+>R<3> R<4>CH2COO<-> (wherein R<2> is an 8-22C linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group; and R<3> and R<4> are each 1-3C alkyl) pref. in a wt. ratio of the former surfactant to the latter of (3:7)-(7:3). |
