PURPOSE:To extremely lower friction torque and enable high-speed linear movement by assembling a plurality of balls between a peripheral groove formed on the inner peripheral face of a retaining ring and the screw grooves of a screw shaft. CONSTITUTION:A retaining ring 2 is loosely fitted on a screw shaft 1 on which multiple screws are formed. A plurality of balls 5 are provided between a peripheral groove 3 formed on the inner peripheral face of the retaining ring 2 and the screw grooves 4 of a screw shaft 1. Since the retaining ring 2 and the screw shaft 1 are only brought into point contact with the balls 5, friction resistance is by far low. Also, since a plurality of screws are formed on the screw shaft 1, the retaining ring 2 can be sent right and left at a high speed. Thus, friction torque can be extremely lowered enabling high-speed linear movement. |
