<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject apparatus capable of effectively and economically removing ethylene gas in a storage chamber for green vegetables by providing a reactor having a corona discharge electrode and an earth electrode, a means for forming a water film and an air-circulation means. CONSTITUTION:The objective apparatus is composed of a reactor 4 having a corona discharge wire electrode 8 placed at the center of a cylindrical earth electrode 7, a water-film forming means 12 (composed of a dam 13 placed at the upper part in the earth electrode 7 and a water-feeding pump 14 to feed water to the dam 13) for forming a water film 11 flowing down on the face of the earth electrode 7 in the reactor 4 and a blower 2 and lines 3,5 to introduce an ethylene-containing air in the green vegetable storage chamber 1 into the reactor and introducing the air free from ethylene gas into the storage chamber 1.</p> |
