PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera with excellent operability that can easily and quickly perform setup even when any operating mode is set. SOLUTION: The electronic camera is provided with a single operation button that can detect two kinds of different operations comprising a usual operation and a special operation. When the electronic camera detects the usual operation after depression of the operation button only once (single click), the electronic camera starts a mode dependent menu processing. When the electronic camera detects the special operation after depression of the operation button for a long time/double click, the electronic camera starts setup processing independently of the operation mode set this time (including power OFF). |
