摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stabilized speed control while increasing the output in starting an actuator by an arrangement wherein a control means delivers a voltage amplitude alteration command to a shaping section in starting a vibratory actuator with a unsteady first speed lower than a second steady speed as a boundary. SOLUTION: An initial frequency is delivered to a pulse generator 1 and a maximum pulse width within a range where a vibration wave motor 3 or a step-up means is not broken down is set therein. A decision is then made whether a speed v inputted from a speed detector 5 is higher than a given speed v1 lower than a target speed v2. When a decision is made that the given speed v1 is reached, an intermediate pulse width smaller than a maximum value is set. Subsequently, the frequency is decreased until the driving speed v reaches the target speed v2. When the target speed v2 is reached, the speed v is inputted from the speed detector 5 and the difference (v2-v) between the speed v and the target speed v2 is fed back in order to control the pulse width thus controlling the speed.
