PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously improve the surface gloss and ink jet recording characteristics by a method wherein a pigment for a gloss layer which is provided on a recording layer of a base material, is made to contain primary and secondary particles of very fine calcium carbonate, of which respective average particle diameters are specified. SOLUTION: A recording layer which is provided on a base material is constituted of a pigment and an adhesive as the major components, and a gloss layer which is provided on the top of the recording layer is constituted of a resin and very fine calcium carbonate as the major components, and by blending a pigment. For the very fine calcium carbonate, the one wherein the average particle diameter of the primary particle is 0.05 μm or lower, and the average particle diameter of the secondary particle is 0.5 μm or lower, is contained. Thus, the primary particle diameter of the very fine calcium carbonate which is used for the gloss layer is small, the transparency of the glass layer is increased, and the printing grade is improved, and at the same time, the calcium carbonate has a form of the secondary particle, and the pigment itself has a fine hole, and an ink absorption is performed through the fine holes, and an unevenness in printing and a bleeding on the borders of printed parts are prevented from arising. |
